The Prenatal Series is a five-part package of prenatal education topics including self-care during pregnancy, the impact of various substances on a developing child, and how to improve early attachment between parent and child. We work with families affected by substance use prior to the birth of their child and connectthem with existing community resources.
The series is made possible by a grant from the Maine Children’s Trust, the statewide child abuse and neglect prevention organization.
The Prenatal Series is a true collaboration with staff from several agencies participating as presenters from Eastern Maine Medical Center, the Office of Child and Family Services, Penquis Maine Families, Maine Mothers Network, Bangor Public Health Nursing, Penobscot Community Health Care, and F.A.C.T.
