Families And Children Together (F.A.C.T.) recognizes that as children and families grow and change, features of the services they provide also must mature and transform to meet the common and unique needs of the people they serve.
The Kindred Way Program was created out of this understanding ~ originally designed as a program for female adolescents and known as KidsWay II, the program has evolved and is now a program providing the same quality services for young adult women.
The Kindred Way Program formerly known as KidsWay II, continues to provide an enriched, warm home environment that focuses on living in the least restrictive environment possible. We recognize the need for autonomy in adulthood. We also recognize the need for individual support and resources to live as independently as possible, to take control of daily living and as well as future goals. The home offers 24-hour support staff with a ratio of one staff to two residents. The house is located in Winterport and nestled in a serene residential neighborhood approximately 12 miles from Bangor.
Referrals are accepted from consumers, guardians, DHHS and other service providers.
Our home accommodates women who are ambulatory.
